I am the Managing Director of King of Sunshine Productions. I'm a versatile, multi-lingual, award winning Commissioning Editor, Showrunner and Executive Producer with 25 years’ experience, sound editorial judgement, and an extensive contacts book.

 

I specialise in factual entertainment, factual and popular culture programming; and have credits on all 5 UK terrestrial channels and numerous digital channels worldwide. I've commissioned and executive produced programmes across all four BBC channels and sat on the European Business Unit as the UK representative dealing with all connected Eurovision programming.

 

I have been a Non Exec Director for Elstree Film and TV Studios, since 2018 and helped the studio grow with the creation of the Platinum Stages, opened in July 2022. I am also part of the Advisory Board for the Edinburgh Film and Television Festival, as well as a committee member for the 'Ones To Watch' and 'The Network' Talent Schemes which take place during the annual media event.

 

I've made shows ranging from studio-based panel shows, to big scale live music events to location-based formats. I'm just as comfortable filming the Hollywood A-List, as sensitive issue-based documentaries with members of the public. I'm also highly experienced in online production, being the sole contact for entertainment short form content on BBC Three. My commissions have ranged from topical reactive news sketches to music shows to full scripted comedy.

 

Alongside commissioning & production, I'm a successful Head of Development, and have headed up development departments for BBC Studios, ITV Studios, STV Productions and October Films to name but a few.
